The Love of a Gemstone - Tourmaline
I have no discipline when it comes to Tourmaline.
The surface of the stone is a beautiful watery illusive surface and the multiple colors in Tourmaline are so vibrant and range from deep pink, ruby, spring green and vibrant oranges. I can spend hours holding these stones and their beauty.
Another wonderful fact is that this stone is very light in weight. This means that it is perfect for building earrings but also, you get a lot of stone for the price.
I am busy getting all these beautiful small collections of stones listed in my store.
I put together collections of a variety of stones in a small collection to make it easier for the artist and jeweler to afford rather than spending so much money on one type of stone. Variety is the spice of life!
If you have never shopped my gemstones, I can promise you that I have the very best hand cut ethically in India. I sell all of my stones at $4.00 a carat.
As I combed Tucson, I did see beautiful hand cut stones, but most were $10.00 a carat of this quality.

Here is some interesting information that I found on Tourmaline stone properties:
For centuries, various cultures have had different beliefs about what virtues the Tourmaline can bring to the wearer. In 18th Century literature it was considered to be helpful to artists, authors, actors and those in creative fields.
In the same century, a Dutch scientist claimed that a Tourmaline wrapped in silk and placed against the cheek of a feverish child would induce sleep. In Africa, Tourmaline was once used as a stone to awaken one from "the dream of illusion". Ancient ceremonies in India included the use of the gem as a tool to bring insight and help in the discovery of that which is good. It would also serve to make known who or what was the cause of troubles or evil deeds.
